Custom Quotes (“Quote Other”)

We are excited to introduce Custom Quotes, so users can now create quotes beyond standard FTL, LTL, IM, FCL, and LCL transportation quotes. This allows you to price and track any service or fee that doesn’t fit into the traditional lane-based structure. Key features include:

  • Flexible quote types: Users can create “Quote Other” to handle non-standard services, accessorials, or any custom charge that needs to be quoted and tracked.
  • Configurable items in Admin:
    • Admins can define a custom list of items in the Admin Module.
    • Each item can include cost, form of payment, and other relevant details.
  • Fast item selection in the quote:
    • Items defined in the Admin Module appear in a dedicated Items grid in the quote Summary tab.
    • Users can quickly search and select items, speeding up the process of creating custom quotes.
  • Historical pricing and averages:
    • When users quote items defined in Admin, Historical data is automatically populated.
    • The system calculates and shows the average of prior awarded quotes for each item.
    • Users can choose to see history across the same company or multiple companies.
  • Global and company-level rates:
    • Users can define “Quote Other” rates at both Global and Company levels, similar to how Lane rates are configured.
  • PDF download and email:
    • Users can download and email Quote Other in PDF format, using the same workflows as transportation quotes.
  • System-recommended cost and sell price:
    • Based on historical awarded data, the system suggests recommended cost and selling price points for each quoted item.
  • Win/Loss tracking at item level:
    • Users can mark individual items as won or lost within a quote.
    • This allows teams to understand which items they win most often and which they tend to lose.
  • New Item View in Quotes:
    • A new Item View has been added to the Quote Module, similar to the existing Lanes view.
    • Users can see items quoted across multiple quotes, helping them analyze item performance over time.
  • Expanded reporting for Quotes Other:
    • Custom Reports – Quotes Data Source now includes Quotes Other, so all quote activity is captured in reporting.
    • A new Items Data Source has been added to Custom Reports. Just as you can report on Lanes, you can now report on Items.
  • Dashboard & System Reports integration:
    • Quotes Other will be listed in the main Dashboard under the Quote widget list, ensuring full visibility.
    • The following System Reports now include Quotes Other:
      • Customer Service Owners Activities
      • Sales Owners Activities
      • Sales Owners Avg Awarded Quote Size
      • Customer Service Owners Details Performance
      • Sales Owners Details Performance

Improvements

Clearer Date Ranges in Dashboards & Reports

To make it easier to understand the data you’re viewing, we’ve improved how date ranges are displayed:

  • When a date range filter is applied in Dashboards, System Reports, and Custom Reports, the selected date range is now visible from the outside, without needing to open the filter.
  • This helps users immediately see what period a report or widget is showing.

Fewer Required Fields for Faster Data Entry

We’ve reduced the number of required fields across key entities to make data entry faster and more convenient:

  • Fewer required fields when creating or editing Companies, Contacts, Carriers, and Quotes.
  • Users can now create these records more quickly, reducing friction in day-to-day operations.

Improved Sales Pipeline “Last Contacted Date” Slider

We’ve refined the Last Contacted Date slider in the Sales Pipeline to make it easier and more precise to use:

  • Smoother sliding behavior for a more user-friendly filtering experience.
  • More precise filtering, so users can quickly isolate records based on when they were last contacted.
  • Faster adjustments when narrowing or expanding ranges.

New Sum & Average Metrics in Custom Reports

Custom Reports are now more powerful with added aggregation capabilities:

  • Users can calculate Sum and Average on the following fields:
    • Estimated Profit
    • Estimated Awarded Profit
    • Estimated Revenue
    • Estimated Awarded Revenue

This enables new types of performance and revenue analysis, such as:

  • Revenue per month
  • Revenue per salesperson
  • Average revenue per month
  • Average revenue per salesperson
  • And more, depending on how you design your reports.

Dashboard Performance & Usability Enhancements

We’ve continued to optimize the dashboard experience to make it faster and more flexible:

  • Performance improvements to reduce scroll lag and load times, especially when dashboards contain many reports.
  • Optimized behavior when switching from the Dashboard to other modules, so transitions feel smoother and quicker.
  • Users can now:
    • Create multiple dashboards,
    • Link reports to each dashboard, and
    • Select a default dashboard, so when they log in, they immediately see the dashboard most relevant to their work.

Custom Report Drill-Down Capabilities

We’ve introduced drill-down capabilities in Custom Reports so users can move from summarized data to detailed records with a click:

  • Drill-down is now available in Custom Reports for:
    • Calls
    • Emails
    • Meetings
    • Tasks
    • Quotes
    • Lanes
    • Items
  • Users can click into the data to understand the underlying activities and records behind a metric or summary, enabling deeper insight and better follow-up.

Custom Reports for Companies & Contacts

Custom Reporting has been expanded to cover Companies and Contacts:

  • New Data Sources: Customers (Companies) and Contacts are now available in Custom Reports.
  • Users can report and filter using both:
    • Standard/system fields
    • Custom fields (Dropdown and Multiple Selection)
  • Drill-down is also supported for these new reports, so users can explore customer and contact details directly from the report.

Enhanced Quote Reporting & Export in Custom Reports

We’ve expanded how Quotes can be analyzed and shared:

  • Custom Report on Quotes:
    • Users can now report on Quotes based on custom fields (Dropdown and Multiple Selection).
    • This makes it easier to segment and analyze quotes by custom attributes defined by your organization.
  • Export capabilities:
    • Users can now export data directly from the grid in Custom Reports.
    • This allows teams to share data externally and perform additional analysis in tools like Excel.
