SCRM now integrates with TomTom, allowing users to get truck-compatible mileage information, accurate routes, and location information.
Miami, Florida – Today, Integrated Freight Systems (IFS) officially announced that Supply Chain Relationship Management (SCRM) now integrates with TomTom – a tool that 3PLs often use to get accurate truck routes and location information.
“In the trucking industry, general GPS tools are not adequate. You cannot send a truck to the same route a regular car drives on. There are height, width, and turn restrictions for trucks, which, if not followed, can cause delays and accidents,” said Cristobal Pascual, Chief Product Officer of IFS. He further added, “to overcome this issue, we have integrated TomTom with SCRM. This integration helps 3PLs get a truck-compatible routing solution, allowing them to create quotes with accurate truck mileage.”
The TomTom integration allows SCRM to automatically calculate accurate truck mileage when a user is creating a quote. This omits the need for users to move to another app to calculate mileages and manually enter data on the quoting tool, increasing the speed and accuracy of quotes.
Moreover, when you add multiple stops in a quote, the integration allows SCRM to calculate the mileage between stops. It also enables users to automatically rearrange the stops and final destination to get the shortest route with a click of a button. By doing so, you can propose a quote with lower costs due to shorter mileage, increasing your chances of winning a deal.
